On a Monday and Thursday mornings from 10am-12.30pm service users can attend the Conservation Group.
The group aims to promote good mental and physical wellbeing through outdoor activity in a green environment.
The group is currently working in partnership with The Conservation Volunteers (T.C.V.) at the Jupiter Centre and also the Forestry Commission at Callendar Woods.
Working in outdoor activity projects is known to make a difference to people’s lives and bring a range of positive benefits such as:
- a reduction in depression, anxiety and stress symptoms,
- an improvement in dementia-related symptoms.
- increased level of social contact and inclusion
- a sense of belonging and personal achievement.
*We also have a new Conservation Group based at Larbert Woods. We are once again working in partnership with the Forestry Commission and this takes place every 2nd Wednesday from 11am-2pm*
